Monday 21st March
5.00p.m.
Dear Parents,
We arrived safely to Oxenwood and after a quick tour of the building, we changed for our very long walk!
On the walk we learned about fossils and everyone enjoyed collecting flint, sea potatoes, sea sponges and some of us were lucky enough to find some crystals.
We stopped for our picnic lunch and then continued on our way until we reached an Iron Age hill fort. Mark (our leader) played a Celts and Romans battle game and we learned lots of gruesome facts about the Celts!
We finally made it back to Oxenwood Centre at 5.00 p.m. and as I type we have 30 minutes of unpacking before dinner.
Our menu for tonight is roast chicken, mixed vegetables and for pudding we have apple crumble.
After dinner we have free time and then the night walk.
Bye for now,
The Oakhurst Oxenwood Gang!
