Bude Residential for Year 5/6
Day 1 - Monday 13th June
19:35
We arrived safely and enjoyed a tour of the grounds. After checking into our 'cool' and 'wicked' accommodation the groups took part in fencing and abseiling. Free time was spent in the Pleasure Park before a feast of sausages, mash, beans and peas. Pudding was chocolate sponge with custard. Everyone gave thumbs up to the food and are now raring to go for our evening activity of 'It's a Knockout'.
Bye for now.
Day 2 - Tuesday 14th June
07:36
Rise and shine! We wake to a beautiful morning. All of the children slept well and are ready for breakfast and morning activities.
11:02
We have just finished our morning activities of fencing, climbing and wide games. Quick drink refill, application of sun cream, lunch and then an afternoon of canoeing.
12:49
Lunch finished, canoeing here we come!
Tuesday 14th June - A little message from the year 5 and year 6 children at Oakhurst, to you all at Bude.............
"We are sad that we couldn't be there with you but we are having so much fun at school with Mrs Dove and Mrs Smith. We have been doing lots of work about the weather. We are going to be doing art this afternoon - painting watercolour pictures.
We can't wait to see you all again! We have moved class for the week, and we are now in Houston which is interesting. Hope you are having fun. Andre and Matthew are lonely without the other guys! It is certainly very quiet without you all and especially quiet without Mr Evans!!"
19:04
Dinner over, a bit of free time before evening games.
See our view below:

The children are now in bed and should sleep well after a day of climbing, fencing, games and canoeing. Fortunately Mr Burr's canoe was 'water free' as he was looking after the school camera and mobile phones, however everyone else ended up very wet!
Fingers crossed the rain stays away as we are having a tremendous time.
All of the children send their love.

Day 3
08:59
We have just finished breakfast (cereal, sausage, eggs, bacon and toast) and now the children are putting on their waterproofs for today's activities. Light rain is falling, but we hope the sun comes out in time for our beach walk in the afternoon.
13:05
The sun came out for our morning activities and now we are eating lunch in our rooms. Beach walk for the afternoon. All children well behaved and having a great time. We will post children's comments on our blog tonight.
17:52
Back from the beach walk and getting ready for dinner then the disco.
21:13
Disco over, children very tired and now heading to bed. There is no internet access until the morning so we will post children's comments tomorrow.
